End of the Soccer Season

The 2009 Soccer Season wrapped up on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the team couldn't finish their last game because it started to rain. Here's Natalee and Andrew watching... My camera didn't do a good job of taking a clear picture from across the field. There is most of the team and Coach Mike.
An action shot!
After the rain started, we went to Tim Horton's for one last treat.

Mike planned the team wind-up party for Friday. All 14 of the players were able to come! The team presented Mike with a certificate. Joshua is in the bottom row, on the far left. Caleb is also in the bottom row, on the far right.

My soccer dudes with their medals. By the way, when we got home, we measured them again, and there's now only 1/2" difference between Caleb and Joshua. I'm thinking that by the end of summer, Joshua may be taller than his older brother? Maybe if I tell Caleb this, he'll sleep more at night! :)

Father's Day

Playing football, waiting for the church service at the park to start.

Caleb got a new book "Diary of a Wimpy Kid". I guess it's the latest thing.

Natalee put on a pair of the boys' shoes the other day. She's such a ham!

Joshua's Party

Today, we celebrated Joshua's birthday with his school friends. As his birthday is in the middle of summer holidays, most of his friends aren't able to make it. So this year, we decided to try to have it earlier. Four out of seven friends were able to come. Instead of playing soccer as planned, the boys went downstairs and played Lego for about 45 minutes. It was very hot and muggy, so they had fun spraying each other with water guns as they waited for supper.

And the ice cream cake! Joshua again requested a very easy to make ice-cream cake. Chocolate ice cream with cut up peanut butter cups! It was pretty yummy! I tried to spell "Happy Birthday" with Smarties on it, but it was rather crowded.
Wyatt...cute & tired.

Four year olds are fun

Of course, I love ALL my children, but lately, my afternoon's with Andrew have been very enjoyable. He is at such a fun stage and we are able to joke around and have conversations and I see him learning and trying out new things. I love his imagination and his sense of humor. He makes me laugh with quotes from movies and just being Andrew. I will miss him when he starts Nursery School in fall.
This is what he likes to make when he's alone in the afternoons...I'm not quite sure what it is, but he knows!

And hard at work, washing his car. :)

Water Day(s)

Finally, summer weather has arrived! Although the boys were still getting over colds, we have spent some time in the water the past four days. Spring was too long & too cold! Joshua was getting Andrew to help him build his motorboat, I think.
Natalee...surfer girl!
The four kids..."How long is this going to TAKE!?" (from the movie Madagascar)...for the water to warm up. You had to be there. :)
T R O U B L E !
Running & splashing!!

Sick

We've had a couple months of sickness here. Well, it feels like a couple of months. It started right around Mother's Day with Natalee having The Cold from Mexico (fever and cold). Then Andrew and Caleb got sick. Then Andrew got sick AGAIN. Last weekend, Wyatt was sick. Then Caleb got really sick again (fever, nightmares, and now he's getting over the cold part of it), and Joshua's also getting over a cold too. For all I know, it could be TCFM, and if it is, the WHO is never going to hear us complain about it. As much as I don't like sickness, it could be much worse.

The boys got a note home from school on Friday saying that anyone who is sick needs to stay home until they are completely better, so even though Caleb and Joshua have been acting completely *normal*, they're stuck at home with some coughing and some stuffy noses. So today seems like a long weekend.

Yesterday, we set up Joshua's tent in the backyard. It's already too hot to play in it, so we're inside, enjoying the air conditioned house! Yay! These pictures are from yesterday.

Wyatt seems to really like the "donut".

June

Natalee sitting in Wyatt's Bumbo...silly girl! :)
Joshua carrying his "little" brother! "Take the picture fast, Mom! He's heavy!"

Wyatt...learning some new tricks. He's starting to get more of his upper body up off the ground.
It looks like snow, but it's hail.
Caleb took this picture of a thundercloud. He wants to make a whole album of storm cloud pictures.
