You Know it's Hot when...Part 2

You know it's hot when...the water from the outside tap feels "luke warm"! Incredible! I'm not sure I've experienced that except for one other time...and that was this year. I'm hoping this blog segment will not be continually expanding...but here are some pictures of us trying to keep cool on Sunday evening - playing in the water instead of getting ready for bed.

Andrew, the skateboarder. He has been "monkey-see, monkey-do" lately. Yesterday, he was copying his brothers jumping off the front steps, and took a tumble, head first, down onto the gravelly stones. Ouch! He's also trying to repeat a lot of words that he hears them say. Especially when he sees something we're eating or drinking that he wants. He'll say "wha summmmm...".
Natalee in her pretty little sundress. If you put your cursor right on the photo and click, it should enlarge somewhat on your screen. Because I upload them at a smaller size, they don't enlarge like some others I have seen.
Guess who's turning 5 tomorrow? Seems like we've been in party mode for a couple of weeks already. I guess summer seems to do that, when there's no school, and bedtime gets pushed back an extra half hour or more. Not to mention that just falling asleep in this heat takes longer than watching the Cars movie. Caleb is sleeping on the floor in the boys room and every night has some what of a "slumber party" feel to it. Ahhh, the long days of summer are here...for now. I just remembered we have some snowballs buried in our freezer somewhere. That should make for a few minutes of fun this evening!
